How to Use Snap Traps

  1. Inspect areas around your home for entry and exit points where mice activity is occurring.
  2. Place several traps at entry and exit points.
  3. Check, empty and re-bait traps frequently.
  4. When mouse activity has stopped.  Remove traps and seal up entry/exit points with steel wool and caulking.

For the best results using snap traps, place them in areas of mouse activity using a small amount of peanut butter fixed to the trigger.

Baiting Tip:  To minimize transferring your scent when setting snap traps, wear gloves and use a queue tip or toothpick to transfer the bait to the trigger.
Set-Up Tip: It is always a good idea to set up at least 10 to 12 traps at a time for the best result in getting rid of mice as fast as possible.

Victor-Power Kill Mouse Trap

This snap trap is made of a hard durable plastic that can be easily washed and reused.

It and has a large trip pad to increase the effectiveness and has an easy setup design.

Victor Metal Pedal Mouse Trap

Victor Metal Pedal MouseThe Victor Metal Pedal Mouse Trap has an original wooden base wire snap trap design with a metal trip pedal. It is made in the USA with wood from FSC® certified forests.

The proven design make the trap very effective.  Its strong spring makes the kill bar a powerful and humane killer.

The wooden base is harder to keep clean for reuse, but the low cost makes this the perfect throw-away trap for an easier cleanup.

Many people have a fear of setting the trigger on standard snap traps like this one, however, once you set up a few it shouldn’t be a problem.  Be sure to wear gloves for protection.

The Victor Metal Pedal Mouse Trap is usually available in 4, 12, 32 and even a convenient 64 pack for the greatest value.  Also, the reviews are excellent for this product on Amazon.

These proven snap traps are always a good option for getting rid of mice.

Tomcat-Press ‘N Set Mouse Trap

Tomcat-Press 'N Set Mouse TrapThe Tomcat-Press ‘N Set Mouse Trap is a good trap but doesn’t quite stack up again the previous traps in this review.

The claw design kill bar is not as powerful as a steel bar which makes it less effective.

The hard plastic material allows the Tomcat Press ‘N Set to be washed and reused more often which is nice.

Although the trip pad is a good size, the trip mechanism is not as sensitive as it should be, leading to mice stealing the bait more often.

It has a nice one-touch setup and disposal design that works well and is easy to use.

The Tomcat-Press ‘N Set Mouse Trap is available in a 2 or 4 pack on Amazon, making it the least cost-effective.   The reviews are not the greatest for this product.

In my opinion, you may have average results using this snap trap.
