Glue Traps For Mice Reviews

How To Use Glue Traps

Glue traps are best placed on travel routes, in corners and near holes where you have mouse activity.  When the mouse comes along, it will step into the trap, get stuck in a very sticky glue, and then slowly die.

Since glue traps do not instantly kill mice, they are not the most humane way of getting rid of them.

Many of the glue traps come with a pre-baited peanut butter scent which helps attract mice.

Alternatively, you can use a small amount of peanut butter as bait in the center of the trap to encourage mice to walk into the trap.

If Glue Traps For Mice Are Inhumane, Why Use Them?

Probably one of the best reasons for using glue traps is if you are just not having any luck with other trapping methods.

Mice are very cautious animals and may not be lured by a standard snap trap or the mice have figured out how to steal the bait without setting off the trap.  Therefore, under those circumstances, sticky traps can be a good option to try.

Keep in mind, that you may see a live mouse stuck to the trap.  If you are ok with that, then go for it!

The most important thing when dealing with a pest problem is to handle it swiftly and minimize the risk to your family’s health and home.

Should Glue Traps Be Used Outside?

If you are going to use glue traps in an outdoor area, be sure not to get them wet since it will decrease the effectiveness of the glue significantly.

Keep in mind when using a glue trap outdoors, it can lead to targeting the wrong animal such as birds and snakes which are both natural predators of mice.

Glue traps are also effective at getting rid of other small pests such as insects, spiders, lizards, scorpions, and cockroaches.

With that said let’s take a look at a comparison of different glue traps.

T Box Glue Trap

The T Box Glue Trap uses a black ripple bottom design to increase the effectiveness of the trap and comes with a money-back guarantee.

This sticky glue trap has a large area resulting in a higher chance of catching mice.

It is made of thick cardboard and can be folded into different configurations including a tunnel for a no-see, no-touch design.

The trap is easy to use and is pre-baited with a peanut butter scent in the glue.

In addition to mice, this trap can be used to catch rats as well.

Although not the most cost-effective of the glue traps, this product will do a good job of catching mice.

The T Box Glue Trap is available in a 6 pack and the reviews on Amazon are excellent for this product.

Catchmaster Baited Glue Traps

The Baited Glue Traps by Catchmaster come as scented Pre-baited trays for indoor use against rats, mice snakes, and other insects.

They have a large surface area constructed with heavy-duty plastic boards that can be placed in moist areas.

They are easy to use, just placed along known or suspected rodent pathways. Its thick plastic board design and large surface area keep mice from getting away from the trap.

The glue is very sticky and high quality. They are also non-toxic and safe around pets and children.

They can also be folded into a tunnel to protect the glue from dust and debris.  The glue is designed to last up to a year under normal conditions.

The Baited Glue Traps by Catchmaster are available in an 8 pack on Amazon and the reviews are very good for this product.

Catchmaster Glue Trap

The Catchmaster Glue Trap can be folded into a tunnel shape to provide a no-see configuration, but when folded in this manner the trap becomes quite small so it may not be effective with larger mice.

This glue trap comes pre-baited with a peanut butter scent to help attract mice.  The scent is very strong which may cause an odor problem for some especially if you are using this trap in a small room in your home.

The glue is very sticky, however, the pad is not quite large enough making it less effective at catching mice.

This product is great for use with insects, flies, and other small pests but is not as effective for mice especially larger ones.  Try using the Catchmaster in a flat configuration for the best results.

The Catchmaster Glue Trap is very cost-friendly and is available in larger quantities, making it ideal for intensive campaigns to get rid of mice fast which helps increase its effectiveness when placing higher quantities of traps around infested areas.

Check out the Catchmaster Glue Boards on Amazon where it’s available in 36 and 60 packs.

Tomcat Glue Trap

The Tomcat Glue Trap is smaller about 3 inches x 5 inches or the size of a standard index card.

Because of the size, it is not as effective as larger traps at catching mice.

However, since they are small they tend to work well in tight spaces.  Placing several in a long row will increase your chances of catching mice with these glue traps.

The glue on the Tomcat traps is high quality and very sticky, furthermore, the trap board is made of durable hard plastic.

Unfortunately, the Tomcat glue trap cannot be folded into different configurations. This means you cannot use it in a tunnel design to help hide a trapped mouse.

Also since glue traps are not an instant kill, be prepared for the chance of seeing a mouse stuck alive to the trap.

The Tomcat Glue Trap is a great choice for tight areas and is effective for insects as well as mice.  They are available in a 4 or 6-pack on Amazon.

Glue Traps for Mice Conclusion

Glue Traps can be an effective way to get rid of mice but, they are not the most humane.

You may want to consider using other traps such as standard snap bar traps or zapper traps first before turning to glue traps.
